VAT
Customers in the European Union are charged 21% VAT, which is added at checkout.
Customers outside of European Union purchase VAT-free but may be responsible for import duties in their country of residence.
Shipping
We currently only ship to the UK and Norway if the value of goods (excluding shipping) exceeds 135 GBP / 3000 NOK. Orders with a lower value will be refunded.
This is due to import VAT regulations in these countries for sales under 135 GBP / 3000 NOK respectively, in which case the business is required to collect and pay the VAT. This is a significant administration overhead that we can’t take.
UPS
UPS Express Saver shipping is available world-wide.
Shipping cost varies by location and the package weight. For the USA, it’s around 32 USD for a small package.
Delivery time is 2-4 days.
PPL
PPL is a Czech delivery company, a partner of the DHL. Shipping outside of the Czech Republic is handled by DHL. We offer PPL shipping to all countries in the European Union.
Tracking information is provided at the PPL website initially and at the DHL website later.
Shipping cost varies by the target country and is typically (thought not always) cheaper than UPS, especially for heavy packages. PPL offers very good rates for neighbour countries, i.e. Austria, Germany, Slovakia, and Poland.
Delivery time is 3-6 days.
Czech Post
This shipping option is currently disabled in the e-shop due to delayed and lost packages. If you’d like a package shipped with the Czech Post, please contact us. We only recommend it for small orders under 1000 CZK (~45 USD).
The Czech Post offers the most economical shipping service for most locations, especially outside of EU.
Tracking information is available. However, it’s only updated before the package leaves the Czech Republic and after the package arrives to the destination country. Tracking updates are not available while the package is in transit.
Package insurance coverage is limited to 1000 CZK (~45 USD).
Shipping cost:
- Europe: 270 CZK (~10 EUR)
- International: 320 CZK (~15 USD)
Typical delivery time:
- Czech Republic: 1-2 days
- Europe: 1-2 weeks
- USA: 2-3 weeks
- Australia: 3-5 weeks
For other countries, please assume between 2 and 5 weeks.
Delays
Packages shipped with the Czech Post get delayed occasionally. If you don’t receive your package within 6 weeks and there are no updates to the tracking information, please contact us.
If this happens, we have to start a claim. The Czech Post then has 3 months to address the claim.
