Poor DAVEGA refresh rate on high-voltage setups

As of 11th October 2022, we register several issue reports from customers that use battery setups above 50.4V (above 12S). The symptoms are as follows:

  • All is working normally while resting. DAVEGA has no trouble retrieving data from the VESC (indicated by green blinking in the top status bar).
  • Under acceleration, connection becomes unstable (indicated by red blinking in the top status bar). This results in poor display refresh rate.

The issue is currently discussed at esk8 news.

If you experienced it yourself please add details to the esk8 news thread or email info@davega.eu. Thank you.

Update (24 October 2022): The issue seems to be caused by EMI and can be fixed by shielding the cable. These are some purchase links to consider if you happen to be affected by the issue:

  1. Hi, did this issue get resolved? I was hoping to purchase one for my 13S fox box unity set up?
