DAVEGA X is an advanced on-board telemetry device for VESC® based speed controllers. It comes in an aluminum enclosure with several color options to choose from.

What cable length do I need?
For exact measurement, take a string and route it from the center-point of the front truck mounting holes to your ESC UART port. Then add 10 cm to the length.
A good quick estimate for 2WD setups with a bottom mounted enclosure is to measure the distance between the deck nose and the rear of the enclosure.
The 100 cm cable is long enough for most setups.
7P or 8P connector?
Find the communication port on your speed controller. The pins should be labeled as follows:
- 3.3V or VCC
- RX or TX
- TX or RX
- ADC3 (missing on 7P ports)
The communication port on most VESC® based controllers either has 7 or 8 pins (there’s an extra ADC3 pin in the latter case). Should your communication port have a different number of pins or should the pins be organized in a different order than on the list above please let us know in the order notes and we will do our best to set up your cable as appropriate. Note that DAVEGA X is tolerant to swapping RX/TX starting from firmware v4.04 (guaranteed on all new units).

DAVEGA X comes with two acrylic screen protectors and one glass protector. We pre-install the selected type for you and include the other two as spares. Double-sided rubber tape is included in the package that can be used for installing a replacement protector.
The glass protector is much less prone to scratching and is a highly recommended option unless your riding style involves hard impacts that would cause the glass to break (e.g. jumping, bumping into traffic signs, etc). In the latter case you will be better off with an acrylic protector, which is more durable though more prone to scratching.

DAVEGA X works with all VESC® based controllers running the firmware v3.48 or later.

The enclosure does not leak around the screen protector or the buttons. While we do not recommend purposely using the DAVEGA X in rain conditions, if you get caught in the rain, continuing to ride for a few minutes to reach the nearest dry place is OK. After any exposure to a heavy rain, we recommend that you detach the DAVEGA housing from the board while you are letting the board dry.

Most of the DAVEGA X parts, including the aluminum enclosure, cables, and glass screen protectors, are manufactured in the Czech Republic.
The electronics are hand-soldered and well tested in-house.
